Dermapen® for treating skin and acne scars

Why choose Dermapen® to regenerate my skin?

Dermapen was officially recognized as ‘the best professional device for skin rejuvenation in 2012*.

It has a long-term effect for improving the appearance and the tightning of the skin. Several studies have confirmed its effectiveness for treating acne scars.

How does it work?

The micro-needling is the technic used in Dermapen. Multiple micro-needles penetrate 1 to 3 mm deep in the skin, stimulating the collagen production with a benefit on all skin layers.

In order to optimize the desired results, it must be administered by an experienced aesthetic doctor or dermatologist. They are the only professionnals with the licence allowing to buy deep miconeedling devices. There is a butch of imitation devices on the market. Doctors and dermatolgists can properly evaluate the depth, speed and length of treatment for safe and effective results.

What does Dermapen or microneedling can treat?

  • Restructures and regenerates skin
  • Improve acne scars
  • Decrease skin irregularities
  • Improve skin firmness
  • Tightens pores
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Reduces fine wrinkles
  • Softens stretch marks
  • Can improve dark spots

Dermapen is an alternative for people with dark skin

People with dark skin may experience pigmentation complications with  chemical peels, facials or laser treatments. It could lead to black or whitish spots that persist for a long time. Dermapen prevents theses side effects.

Dermapen or laser?

Dermapen is recognized for its effectiveness and long-lasting results. The ultra-fine needles are disposable and because of their size, enable us to access small areas, such as the nose, upper lip and around the eyes.

Laser is still an effective tool in cosmetic medicine but it has a much longer downtime. It may leave scars or permanently change your skin colour. It is cost prohibitive.

What are the Dermapen® treatments like?

  • A device with ultra-fine needles that creates micro-perforations on the skin
  • Some minor pain, so some clients prefer to use a topical anaesthetic
  • Treatment takes approximately 20 minutes
  • Some redness that only lasts for a few hours
  • You can go straight back to work!
  • We recommend between 3-6 treatments, depending on the area being treated
  • Cost: $300-350
