What is belkyra?
The treatment consists in injecting biliary salts, desoxycholic acid, in the fat the neck. These injections destroy fat cells responsible for the double chin and loss of definition of the aging jaw-line.
Results are visible after 2 to 4 treatments and are permanent.
How is the procedure done?
It is a medical procedure, performed by aesthetic doctors and dermatologists specialized in injections.
After a local anesthesia, Belkyra is injected in very specific spots in the neck area affected by the excess fat.
The sub-mental fat will gradually disappear after a few weeks.
Generally 2 to 4 treatments will be necessary, one month apart. The risk of swelling and bruising is more important than with other injectables.

The price will vary accordingly to the amount of fat that needs to be injected and/or the size of the double-chin: $1000 to $3000
